Grow Your Own Staff Developers This Summer
Send a team or individual to Nashville, June 25-27, for Edvantia’s training-for-trainers institute in effective questioning. Participants will learn techniques for promoting higher-order thinking throughout a school or district. Tennessee-Edvantia Partnership Wins Harvard "Innovations" Award for School Performance Coaching Program
Tennessee’s Exemplary Educators program, developed through a partnership between the Tennessee Department of Education and Edvantia, has received a Top 50 Innovations in American Government Award from Harvard University. Exemplary Educators receive specialized training and supervision from Edvantia as they work to build school and district capacity in core areas associated with improved performance and student achievement.

  • PBS Launches Web Site for Teachers
    K-12 teachers will find free lesson plans, classroom activities, curriculum resources, videos, professional development opportunities, and more on a new Web site launched by PBS. Among the site's features is a blog, called "Media Infusion," that will showcase ideas for using media and technology in the classroom.
